The only problem you are likely to face is the misleading French road signs whereby you are pointed in a direction once and then never see another reference or are assumed to realise that there is a turning – if in doubt follow "autres directions" and blame your navigator.
I imagine you will be using one of the ferry ports in Brittany (St Malo or Cherbourg) to the east of Dinan and these directions will suit those ports or the channel crossing.
You will need to aim for Dinan which is well sign-posted.
From St Malo you take the N 137 (also signed for Rennes) and join the N176 for Dinan which is the road you will already be on if you are coming from Cherbourg or the Channel ports.
Stay on the N176 and ignore the initial signs off for Dinan, you will then see the town to your left – do not panic. You need the turn for the D766 signed to Caulnes which is a flyover arrangement.
This takes you to the left of the N176 (you exit initially to the right of course because of driving on the right hand side of the road in France).
Then proceed to the roundabout with a right turn to Bobital, Brusvily, Yvignac and Broons (D793) and continue along this road until you come to Yvignac – it takes just under ten minutes. Incidentally this route is the quickest way in to Dinan and the Leclerc supermarket is just beyond the roundabout signed to Lehon.
Once in Yvignac continue on the main road toward Broons and you will go round some sharp bends and then pass the church and square on your right and aim through a narrow gap between buildings still on the main road. Le Petit Chapelet is about 30 metres on your right through the gap and has the name above the door but you should be able to recognise it anyway from the picture.
Parking can be by being tucked on to the pavement outside the cottage, round the corner (direction of Broons) or in the market square, but it is no problem wherever you fancy.
